Notes on using "Opening Summary" and "Closing Summary"
- When "Opening Summary" or "Closing Summary" is enabled, summary data is automatically generated within the first 2 seconds of a video. Other Stats dashboard components will not be displayed during this period.
- This feature is only supported for videos 4 seconds or longer. It cannot be enabled for videos shorter than 4 seconds.
- Currently, this feature is supported on all Stats dashboards except CFMOTO.
How to prepare for shooting
Connect the camera to the Insta360 app and record a short clip. This allows the camera to automatically sync the accurate timecode from your phone. Afterwards, you can disconnect and shoot separately. For data to be recorded successfully, the footage's shooting time must overlap with the activity period logged by your sports devices.
How to find Stats
- From the player page (formerly the playback page in Album)
- For 360 videos: Tap "Editor" > "Frame Cut" > "Confirm Clip" > "Edit and Export" > "Stats"

- For flat videos: Tap "Editor" > "Edit" > "Stats"

- From the Edit page
Tap "Create a Video" > "Edit" > "Stats"

How to add Stats
Method 1: Using your phone
Via the Insta360 app (recording data while shooting)
- Record videos with GPS data
Open the Insta360 app and connect the camera > go to the Shooting page in the app > tap "More" in the upper right corner > turn on GPS > tap "Start Recording".
Please note: Keep the Insta360 app and camera connected throughout the recording. Turning off the screen or exiting the app during recording will cause inaccurate GPS signal acquisition. You can tap the lock icon in the upper right to enable Screen Lock (long press to unlock) to prevent accidental touches from affecting GPS signal acquisition.
- Find the recorded video
After shooting, go to the Album page in the Insta360 app, select the video you just recorded, and enter the video playback screen.
- Add Stats data
- For 360 videos: Tap "Editor" > "Frame Cut" > "Confirm Clip" > "Edit and Export" > "Stats", then select the activity data you want to display.

- For flat videos: Tap "Editor" > "Edit" > "Stats", then select the activity data you want to display.

For a more intuitive operational demonstration, please refer to the Tutorial for Adding Stats in Insta360 App.
Please note:
- Turning off the screen or exiting the Insta360 app during recording will stop the recording.
- When exporting a video with Stats data, you must select "Flat Video". Exporting 360 videos with Stats data is not currently supported.
- If there is strong signal interference in the shooting environment, it might prevent GPS data from being acquired. It is recommended to shoot in open outdoor areas.
- The Stats feature is currently not supported for footage shot in the following modes: Timelapse, Starlapse, TimeShift, Slow Motion, and Bullet Time.

How to adjust layout and language settings after adding Stats
We recommend updating your Insta360 app to v2.16.0 or later for a smoother experience. After adding Stats data, you can access the Stats editing page to configure the following settings:
- Switch data sources: An option for switching between data sources is located at the bottom of the page. Tap it to quickly switch between different data sources.

- Perform time correction: Time correction options are presented in text format and can be adjusted according to your needs.

- Edit Stats dashboard style: Thumbnail previews are provided for all dashboard styles (e.g., Rhythm, Speed). After tapping your desired dashboard style, you can select the activity data to display. Drag data components to adjust their position, and use two-finger pinch gestures to resize them.

- Save layout: After customizing, tap "Save Layout" to generate a personalized template (up to 50 templates can be saved).

- Apply or delete layout: For future use, find your desired template under "My Layouts" and apply it with one tap. Tap and hold a template to delete it.
