Insta360 App: Add Stats Data Using the GPS Preview Remote

Whether you want to record your speed while cycling or mark your route for outdoor shots, you can add stats data to your videos via the Insta360 app after pairing is made between your camera and the GPS Preview Remote. This article covers instructions for connecting devices, recording and adding stats, allowing for efficient operations and more professional action videos.
Instructions

- Switch modes and start recording
Press the power button on the GPS Preview Remote or swipe left/right on the preview screen to switch the camera mode to Video. Press the Shutter button on the Preview Remote to start recording, and press it again to stop.
- Select footage
Connect the camera to the Insta360 app > go to Album in the app > select a video footage > tap to enter the video playback page.
- Add stats data
- For 360 videos: On the video playback page > tap Editor > Frame Cut > confirm the selected clip > tap Edit & Export > Stats > select the activity data you want to display.
- For flat videos: On the video playback page > tap Editor > Edit > Stats > select the activity data you want to display.
Please note:
- Keep the camera and the GPS Preview Remote connected throughout the shooting process to avoid data transmission interruption.
- If there is strong signal interference in the shooting environment, it might prevent GPS data from being acquired. It is recommended to shoot in open outdoor areas.
- The Stats feature is currently not supported in the following shooting modes: Timelapse, Starlapse, TimeShift, Slow Motion, and Bullet Time.
