Please note:

  • Once GPS Activity Stats is enabled, you don't need to maintain a Wi-Fi connection, but you must keep the Insta360 app open on the GPS Activity Stats page. You can also switch to other phone apps. However, leaving the GPS Activity Stats page in the Insta360 app will stop data recording.
  • Before first use, you need to enable Bluetooth on your phone to pair with the camera. After pairing, reconnection is not required for subsequent uses, but your phone's Bluetooth must remain on.
  • Real-time location display is not currently supported.
  • When exporting a video with Stats data, you must select "Flat Video". This export feature is not yet available for 360 videos.
  • If there is strong signal interference in the shooting environment, it might prevent GPS data from being acquired. It is recommended to shoot in open outdoor areas.
  • The Stats feature is currently not supported in the following shooting modes: Timelapse, Starlapse, TimeShift, Slow Motion, and Bullet Time.

How to save GPS Activity Stats data to the cloud

In the Insta360 app v2.14.0 or later, if you have activated the Insta360+ Cloud Service for your account, the GPS Activity Stats data will be automatically synchronized to the cloud. You can log in with the same account on different devices to view and use the data. If you haven't activated the cloud service, the data remains accessible only on the original device where it is recorded.

Scenario 1: If you are not logged in to the Insta360+ account
  1. When you open GPS Activity Stats, a pop-up asking "Sign in?" will appear.
  2. Tap "Sign in" and log in to your Insta360+ account as prompted.

Please note: After logging in, your GPS data will be saved to your cloud account. If you choose not to log in, the data will only be stored locally and cannot be synced across devices.

Scenario 2: If you have already logged in to the Insta360+ account
  • When local activity data exists: When you open GPS Activity Stats, a pop-up will appear to inform you that local data will be synced to the cloud (this pop-up appears only once).
  • When no local activity data exists: No pop-up will appear.

Please note:

After updating the Insta360 app to v2.14.0 or later and logging into your Insta360+ account, all previously local GPS activity data will be automatically synced to the cloud.

If you delete local recording files of GPS Activity Stats, the corresponding data already synced to the cloud will also be deleted.
