GO Series: Transferring Files from Camera to PC

Applicable Models: GO 3, GO 3S, and GO Ultra

By connecting the camera to a computer using the original USB data cable, you can transfer photos and video files via the U-Disk Mode. Below you will find the connection and transfer steps to help you efficiently manage your files.

Instructions

GO 3 and GO Ultra
  1. Connect the camera to the computer using the original USB data cable.
  2. Turn on the camera. After the menu automatically pops up on the screen, select "U-Disk Mode".
  3. Open the DCIM > Camera01 folder on the computer to view and copy the files from the camera on the computer.

GO 3S
  1. Connect the camera to the computer using the original USB data cable.
  2. Turn on the camera. After the menu automatically pops up on the screen, select "U-Disk Mode".
  3. Set a password as prompted (it cannot be a 4-digit repeated number or a simple combination such as "1111" or "1234").

Please note:

  • You need to enter the password every time you enter the U-Disk Mode subsequently (no limit on the number of incorrect attempts).
  • If you forget the password, you need to connect to the Insta360 app to modify it (path: Tap "Me" at the bottom right corner of the app interface > "Other Settings" > "Set USB Mode Password"). A factory reset cannot reset the password.
  • Please update the Insta360 app to the latest version to access the password modification entry.
