GO Series: Camera Fails to Connect to PC / PC Fails to Recognize Camera
Applicable Models: GO 3, GO 3S, and GO Ultra
I. Check the basic operation steps
- Confirm if the camera firmware is the latest version. If an update is available, complete the update before attempting to connect again.

- Ensure the camera is correctly placed in the Action Pod/charging case and a successful connection is established.
- Ensure the device's battery level is above 30%.
- It is recommended to use the original data cable from Insta360 for connection. Avoid using third-party data cables to prevent recognition failures.
II. If the issue persists, try the following operations
1. Check USB ports and drivers on PC
- Prioritize using the USB ports on the PC motherboard and avoid using a hub.
- Insert other devices such as a U-Disk to test if the USB port functions normally.
- Try another USB port. If multiple ports have been tried but fail to recognize the device, check and update the USB driver in the computer's "Device Manager": Click the "Start" menu in the bottom left of the PC screen > search for and open "Device Manager" > expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" > locate "USB Devices" or "Removable Storage Devices" > right-click and select "Update Drivers".
2. Check if the data cable is functional
Use the current data cable to connect a mobile phone to the computer and check if it can be read normally. If the mobile phone fails to be recognized, the data cable may not support data transmission. Please replace it with another data cable and reconnect.
3. Reset the device and reconnect
Reset both the camera and the Action Pod, then connect the camera to the computer again. During the connection process, you can try plugging and unplugging both ends of the data cable multiple times to see if the "U-Disk Mode" pops up normally.
