Luna Series: Out-of-Focus Issues

Applicable Models: Luna Ultra and Luna Pro

Description

When a filter (such as an ND Filter, Wide-Angle Lens, Black Mist Filter, Ultra Telephoto Lens, etc.) is attached to the lens of a Luna Series camera, the captured image appears out of focus.

Solution

Please select the corresponding solution based on how you use filters:

Scenario 1: Using Insta360 filters or no filter attached

Please check and adjust the camera focus mode: Swipe left from the right edge of the camera screen > tap "Pro" to check focus mode settings > select "AF-C".

Please note: If the current focus mode is "AF-S", you need to manually tap the screen to focus when shooting. It is recommended to switch to "AF-C" for more stable focusing.

Scenario 2: Using third-party filters

Third-party filter lenses have not undergone compatibility testing and may cause focusing issues. It is recommended to remove the third-party filter and try shooting again to check if the issue is resolved.

Scenario 3: Using an Ultra Telephoto Lens (for Luna Ultra only)
  1. Luna Ultra needs to be updated to firmware version v1.1.15 or later to support the Ultra Telephoto Lens and enter the dedicated Ultra Telephoto Lens mode. Please ensure that your camera firmware has been updated to v1.1.15 or later.

  1. It is recommended to install the Ultra Telephoto Lens according to the user manual to ensure the accessory is properly installed.

  1. For better focusing, it is recommended to perform focus calibration: Open "Settings" > "Ultra Telephoto Lens Calibration", and go to an open, well-lit outdoor area for focus calibration. Before calibration, place the camera vertically and steadily (it is recommended to unfold the handle tripod for stable placement). Aim the lens at a distant object and avoid pointing it at a white wall or the sky.
  2. Please check if the Ultra Telephoto Lens is clean and ensure there are no fingerprints or dirt on it.
  3. When shooting, make sure the focus point is on the subject. You can focus by tapping the screen.
