Solution
  1. Check and update the Insta360 app version

It is recommended to update your Insta360 app to the latest version. To update the app, search for "Insta360" in Apple App Store or your device's app store. If an "Update" button appears, tap it to update. Alternatively, you can visit the Insta360 Website to download the latest version of the Insta360 app.

  1. Confirm the data time range

Some third-party platforms have time limits on syncable data. Please confirm if your target data falls within the supported range:

  • Garmin: Only data within 88 days prior to the authorization time can be synced.
  • Apple Health: No time range restriction.
  • iGPSPORT: Only data within 30 days prior to the authorization time can be synced.
  • COROS: Only data within 30 days prior to the authorization time can be synced.
  1. Verify third-party platform accounts

Please ensure that the account used to record activity data matches the account used to log into the Insta360 app during editing, to avoid data retrieval issues caused by account mismatches.

  1. Calibrate camera time and reshoot

Please connect your camera to the Insta360 app to automatically obtain the accurate time code from your phone. When shooting, enable your sports watch to record activity data, then try to sync the activity data from the new media.

  1. Check for time overlap

Please find the corresponding activity record on your third-party device and confirm that there is time overlap between the activity record time and the camera's shooting time. Data cannot be synced if there is no time overlap.

Scenario 2: Unable to sync activity data from Bluetooth remotes, videos recorded with GPS enabled or the GPS Activity Stats to Stats in the Insta360 app, or no GPS data in media

Description

When connecting the camera to a Bluetooth remote, recording video with the camera connected to the Insta360 app, or using the GPS Activity Stats to add Stats, "No GPS" or "No GPS data" will be prompted.

Solution

Shooting with the camera connected to a Bluetooth remote

Please refer to the corresponding solution for "Scenario 2: No GPS data in Stats" in Remote: GPS Data and Signal Issues.

Shooting with the camera connected to the Insta360 app

Please confirm if the following conditions were met before shooting. It is recommended to meet these conditions and try again:

  • Try to shoot in an open outdoor area without obstructions to ensure stable GPS signal.
  • If using an Android device, please update the Insta360 app to v2.9.0 or later.
  • When shooting, keep the Insta360 app running in the foreground on your phone and do not lock the screen throughout the process.

Shooting with GPS Activity Stats enabled

Please confirm if the following conditions were met before shooting. It is recommended to meet these conditions and try again:

  • Try to shoot in an open outdoor area without obstructions to ensure stable GPS signal.
  • If using an Android device, please update the Insta360 app to v2.9.0 or later.
  • Before recording, you need to turn on your phone's Bluetooth to complete pairing. Subsequent use does not require re-pairing, but Bluetooth must remain on to ensure data continuity and accuracy.
  • Once GPS Activity Stats is enabled, you don't need to maintain a Wi-Fi connection, but you must keep the Insta360 app open on the GPS Activity Stats page. You can also switch to other phone apps. However, leaving the GPS Activity Stats page in the Insta360 app will stop data recording.
