FAQ

1. What improvements does AdaptiveTone 2.0 on the X6 offer over the previous version?

Insta360's proprietary AdaptiveTone technology has been upgraded to version 2.0. This version more comprehensively captures and retains ambient light information and highlight details. During real‑time exposure and tone processing, it delivers clearer, brighter images with more pronounced contrast and smoother color transitions.

2. Why can't AdaptiveTone be used on certain shooting specifications or other camera models?

When designing this feature, Insta360 considered multiple factors such as image quality and power consumption. The currently supported shooting specifications and camera models are those that can fully realize the optimal effect of AdaptiveTone.

3. [For X5 and X4 Air only] Why can't I manually adjust ISO / Shutter Speed / Independent Exposure / Filters or I-Log after enabling "AdaptiveTone"?

When "AdaptiveTone" is enabled, the system automatically optimizes brightness and color for the scene. In this mode, manual settings like ISO, Shutter Speed, Filters, and Independent Exposure are temporarily disabled to ensure consistent overall image quality. You can adjust the image exposure by changing EV (Exposure Value) or disable "AdaptiveTone" to use the aforementioned features.
