X Series: Time & Languages Settings

Setting the time and language are fundamental operations for using the camera. The following instructions provide guidance on time and language settings, along with support information for each model, to help you quickly adapt the device to your needs.

How to set camera time

For X5, X4 Air, and X4

Method 1: Auto Sync

Connect the camera to the Insta360 app. The app will automatically synchronize the current time to the camera.

Method 2: Manual Setting (When not connected to the Insta360 app)

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > swipe down to find and tap the "Date and Time" option > manually adjust the date and time.

How to set camera language

For X5, X4 Air, X4, and X3

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > swipe down to find and tap the "Language" option and select your desired language from the list. The setting will take effect automatically.

For X2

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > "General" > swipe down to find and tap the "Language" option and select your desired language from the list. The setting will take effect automatically.

For ONE X

The default language is English. It cannot be set or changed within the camera.

Which languages does the camera support?

X5 (19 languages): Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Korean, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Polish, Malay, Dutch, Thai (please update the camera firmware to v1.1.22 or later), and Arabic (please update the camera firmware to v1.3.0 or later).

X4 Air (19 languages): Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Korean, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Polish, Malay, Dutch, Thai, and Arabic.

X4 (17 languages): Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Korean, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Polish, Malaysian, and Dutch.

X3 (11 languages): Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Korean, and Italian.

X2 (11 languages): Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Korean, and Italian.

ONE X: The default language is English.
