The following outlines operations and FAQ about editing cloud media, helping you smoothly edit such media in the Insta360 app and Insta360 Studio.

Editing cloud media via the Insta360 app

You can preview and edit cloud media through the following two paths, with different limits on the number of editable files:

  • Single media editing: open the Insta360 app > tap "Album" > "Cloud" > tap the target cloud media to preview > "Editor".

  • Batch media editing: open the Insta360 app > tap "Edit" > tap "Create a Video" > "Cloud" > select the cloud media to edit > tap "Next" to enter the editing page for batch operations.

Please note:

  • Cloud media preview and editing are not yet supported on the "Shot Lab" and "Memories" pages.
  • Starting from Insta360 app iOS v2.5.0 and Android v2.6.0, you can select cloud media in theme templates.

Editing cloud media via the Insta360 Studio

  • Media page: You can directly import, edit, and export cloud media by tapping the "Cloud Files" icon on the left side.

  • Project page: Direct cloud media import is not yet supported. You need to first download the required media to your computer on the Media page, then import it to the Project page for editing and export.

FAQ

1. Why are some functions unavailable when editing cloud media?

Insta360+ Cloud Storage Service supports most editing functions, such as editing, speed, and adding stats data (Suunto brand is not supported temporarily).

However, some accessory functions like stitching options (including Lens Guard Stitching and Dive Case Stitching) are not yet available for cloud media.

2. Are edits to media in the Insta360 app and Insta360 Studio stored in the cloud or locally?

Currently, all edits to media are stored locally.

3. Will edited media in the cloud albums of the Insta360 app and Insta360 Studio be synchronized?

Since all edits to media are stored locally, cloud synchronization is not applicable to edited media.

4. Are there any device performance requirements for editing cloud media?

The device requirements for editing cloud media are the same as the device requirements for the Insta360 app and Insta360 Studio.

5. Will edits made to cloud media on different devices be synchronized?

Currently, edits to cloud media cannot be synchronized across different devices.

6. Why hasn't the remaining cloud storage space changed after editing cloud media?

During the editing process, your cloud storage space remains unchanged, allowing you to reset and modify your editing effects at any time. The original media will only cease to take up the Insta360+ storage space when you permanently delete the media from the cloud.

7. Why can't I find images with 37MP and higher resolution when adding cloud media or camera media on the "Edit" page of the Insta360 app for Android?

Currently, images with 37MP and higher resolution cannot be displayed temporarily when adding cloud media or camera media on the "Edit" page of the Insta360 app for Android.
