Remote: Charging Issues

Applicable Models: GPS Preview Remote (with Built-in Mic), GPS Preview Remote, GPS Action Remote, Mini Remote, and Ring Remote

Scenario 1: Remote won't charge or fails to charge

1. Ensure appropriate temperature

Please confirm whether the remote and its ambient temperature are within the remote's charging temperature range. If the temperature of the remote exceeds the range, the high-temperature protection mechanism will be triggered, and the remote will stop charging. Avoid charging in a high-temperature environment; wait for the remote to cool down before charging again.

Scenario 2: Charging icon is not displayed (Only applicable to GPS Preview Remote)

If the GPS Preview Remote can charge but the charging icon is not displayed, please update the remote's firmware version and check if the problem is resolved.

If it is already the latest firmware version, or the problem is not resolved after updating to the latest firmware version, we recommend you apply for Insta360 Repair Service, and send back the remote, charging cable, and charging base together for professional diagnostics.
