The Quick File Transfer feature operates between a smartphone and a camera. It enables fast media transmission and saves transfer time. Below is a detailed guide to operation steps, prerequisites, and FAQ to help you enjoy the convenience of efficient transmission.

Steps for iOS

  1. Ensure Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and location services on your smartphone are enabled. On the camera's album page, select the media you want to transfer, and then tap the "Quick File Transfer" icon in the bottom right corner. The camera will automatically send a notification to the last connected smartphone.
  2. Tap "Confirm" on your smartphone — your camera and the Insta360 app will connect automatically, and the selected media will be transferred to the Insta360 app automatically.

Steps for Android

  1. Ensure Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and location services on your smartphone are enabled, and connect the camera to the Insta360 app.
  2. On the camera's album page, select the media you want to transfer, then tap the "Quick File Transfer" icon in the bottom right corner. The media will be transferred to the Insta360 app automatically.

GO Ultra

Ensure that Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and location services on your smartphone are enabled. On the camera's album page, select the media you want to transfer and tap the "Quick File Transfer" icon at the bottom right corner and two options will pop up on the screen:

Option 1: Send to phone album (suitable for Android phones supporting Quick Share, such as OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi)

  1. Tap this option, and the camera will automatically search for nearby smartphones that support transfer.
  2. Select your phone on the camera, then tap "Accept" on the pop-up window of your phone screen to start the transfer.

Please note:

  • Live photos are not currently supported for transfer to the album on your smartphone.
  • For compatibility of Quick Share with specific phone models, please refer to the official website of your phone brand.

Option 2: Send to App (suitable for all iPhone and Android phones)

  • Steps for iOS
    1. The camera will automatically send a notification to the last connected smartphone.
    2. Steps for Android
      1. First, connect the camera to the Insta360 app.

1. What is the transfer speed of Quick File Transfer?

The measured maximum speed exceeds 20MB/s, but the actual speed depends on your smartphone's performance and Wi-Fi connection quality.

2. Does the Insta360 app need to run in the background of the smartphone during Quick File Transfer?

To ensure a stable and uninterrupted transfer, please keep the Insta360 app running in the background of your smartphone during this process.

3. Will the transferred media be saved to the smartphone's album or the Insta360 app's Album?

By default, they are synchronously downloaded to both the Insta360 app's Album and the smartphone's local album.
