GO Series: Camera Activation Failure or Malfunction

Applicable Models: GO 3, GO 3S, and GO Ultra

Solution

  1. Update firmware version

Open the Insta360 app and connect to the camera. Check if the firmware is up to date. If not, follow the prompts to complete the update.

  1. Check network environment

Turn off the VPN on your phone and ensure that the cellular data service is turned on.

  1. Configure device permissions
  • Basic permissions: Grant the Insta360 app access to GPS and Bluetooth.
  • Network permissions:
    • Android: In phone Settings, disable "WLAN+" and "Auto switch to mobile network".
    • iOS: In phone Settings, turn on "Local Network" for the Insta360 app.
  1. Reconnect the camera to the Insta360 app.
