Flow Series: NFC Pairing
Applicable Models: Flow Pro, Flow 2, and Flow 2 Pro
The NFC feature enables "One-Tap Pairing" between your phone and the gimbal, greatly simplifying the pairing process and allowing you to quickly start shooting in a simpler, more efficient way.
Pairing with iPhones
Flow Pro and Flow 2 Pro
- Turn on the gimbal and ensure it is in the awake state.
- Connect your phone to Wi-Fi, enable Bluetooth and NFC on the phone, then unlock the device and keep it on the home screen.
- Align the NFC sensing area on the back of your phone with the NFC sensing area on the gimbal's axis. Wait for the pairing pop-up to appear, then tap "Connect" to complete the Bluetooth pairing.
- Mount your phone onto the gimbal. The pairing is successful when the gimbal performs a nodding motion.

Flow 2
- Turn on the gimbal and ensure it is in the awake state.
- Connect your phone to Wi-Fi, enable Bluetooth and NFC on the phone, then unlock the device and keep it on the home screen.
- Align the NFC sensing area on the back of your phone with the NFC sensing area on the gimbal's axis. Wait for the pairing pop-up to appear, then tap "Connect".

Please note:
- Do not remove your phone from the gimbal during the pop-up pairing process, as this will cause pairing failure.
- After the first successful pairing, the gimbal will automatically reconnect for subsequent use, no need to repeat the operation.
Pairing with Android phones
- Ensure the Insta360 app is downloaded on your phone.
- Connect your phone to Wi-Fi, enable Bluetooth and NFC on the phone, then unlock the device and keep it on the home screen.
- Align the NFC sensing area on the back of your phone with the NFC sensing area on the gimbal's axis. Tap the message pop-up on your phone, and the Insta360 app will be opened automatically.
Please note: The pop-up interface may vary across different phone models. Some models do not require tapping the pop-up to enable the app, so please refer to the actual display on your device.

1. Which phones support NFC connection with the gimbal?
- iPhones: iPhone 12 and later models (running iOS 17.0 or later).
- Android phones: Phones equipped with NFC.
Please note:
- Please ensure NFC is enabled and complete the following settings:
- OPPO phones: Disable "Block NFC notifications".
- Xiaomi/Redmi phones: In "NFC Card-reading Reminders", select "All Cards".
- vivo/iQOO phones: Enable the "NFC Card Reading" feature.
- Some Honor phones: Due to the lower position of their NFC chips, you may need to adjust the alignment between the phone and the gimbal.
2. How to determine NFC connection status via indicator lights?
Flow Pro:
- Before pairing: White light flashes.
- After pairing: White light stays steadily on.
Flow 2 Pro:
- Unpaired: White light breathes (slow flash).
- Pairing in progress: White light breathes (fast flash).
- After pairing: White light stays steadily on.
*Flow 2 does not have an NFC pairing indicator light.
3. Does Flow support NFC pairing?
