Description
- When editing a video in the Insta360 app via the "Auto Edit" or "Create a Video" page, the video plays in slow motion or at a slower speed when previewed in the Insta360 app.
- When editing a video in the Insta360 app via the "Auto Edit" or "Create a Video" page, the preview in the Insta360 app appears normal, but the video exported to the phone's album plays in slow motion or at a slower speed.
Solution
Scenario 1: Video plays in slow motion or at a slower speed when previewed in the Insta360 app
Please first check whether the video you are previewing has any segment with playback speed adjusted, such as one that has been manually set to 0.5× speed.
- If there are segments with variable speed, please refer to Insta360 App: Speed, and adjust the video speed as needed.
- If you haven't adjusted the playback speed yourself but the video preview still shows a slow-motion or slow-speed effect, we recommend you contact Insta360 Customer Support for assistance.
Scenario 2: Preview appears normal in the Insta360 app, but the video exported to the phone's album plays in slow motion or at a slower speed
Please select the appropriate solution based on your shooting parameters:
If the video's frame rate is 100fps or higher
For some phone models, the native album app automatically reduces the playback speed of high-frame-rate videos, creating the slow-motion effect, which is normal on these devices.
If you want to play the video at normal speed, please follow the following steps:
- Xiaomi phones: Find the video in Photos, tap "Speed Adjustment", and set the video back to the original speed.
- iPhone:
- Update the system to iOS 18.0 or later.
- Tap a video saved in the album > tap the "Edit" icon > adjust the slow-motion area and set the seek bar to the full speed range. Then, save the video, and now the video will play at normal speed in the album.
If the video's frame rate is below 100fps
