Applicable Models: ONE X, X2, X3, X4, X5, X4 Air, Ace, Ace Pro, Ace Pro 2, GO 2, GO 3, GO 3S, GO Ultra, ONE R, and ONE RS
You can use the Insta360 app to add watermarks to photos and videos to identify the device model, record the shooting time, or add a unique identifier for your 360 photos. With the flexible watermark settings, you can personalize watermarks based on content types.
Watermark Types
- Brand Watermark: A watermark displaying the camera brand and model. Models co-branded with Leica can display a Leica watermark. Some co-branded models can display a unique co-branded watermark. Starting from December 31, 2025, adding "2026 New Year Watermark" is supported.
- Time Watermark: An exclusive watermark for videos. Once set and exported, videos will automatically display the shooting time.
- Nadir Logo Watermark: An exclusive watermark for 360 media. You can embed a brand logo or a custom identification image (such as a signature, account ID, etc.) at the bottom of 360 media.

Notes
- For media shot with a certain camera model, the watermark corresponding to the camera model will be used by default, and its style cannot be adjusted.
- For media from your phone's album or other third-party cameras, the Insta360 watermark will be used by default, and its style cannot be adjusted.
- Leica watermarks are only available for Leica co-branded cameras, including Ace Pro, Ace Pro 2, ONE R (for the wide-angle lens version only), and ONE RS (for the wide-angle lens version only).
Adding/removing a time watermark
For videos only: Open the Insta360 app and navigate to the Album page > play a video you want to watermark > tap "Settings" icon in the top left corner > toggle on "Time watermark".

Notes
- The time display format is fixed and cannot be changed.
- Please make sure to set this before entering the Editor page. Once you enter the Editor/Edit page, you will no longer be able to add or remove the time watermark.
- When shooting in the Dashcam mode, if you enable the shooting time watermark on the camera, the exported video will automatically include a time watermark. In this mode, the Insta360 app does not support the time watermark feature, and you cannot add time watermarks when processing the media during post-production.
- The Insta360 app supports adding time watermarks and camera watermarks to live photos. If both "Time watermark" and "Video watermark" are enabled, only the time watermark will appear on the exported live photo.
For a more intuitive operational demonstration, please refer to Tutorial for Adding Time Watermark.
Adding a nadir logo watermark (for 360 media only)
- Navigate to the Nadir Logo Settings: Open the Insta360 app > tap "Me" > swipe down and tap "Nadir Logo".
- Select or customize a watermark style:
- If you select an existing watermark style: You can drag the media to change its size and position. After confirming the preview effect, tap "Done" (the check mark) in the top right corner.
- If you need to customize the watermark style: Tap "+" in the bottom right corner, select an image from your phone's album, crop and adjust it, then tap "Done" (the check mark) in the top right corner.
- Enable Logo display: Open the video you want to watermark, go to the preview page > tap the "Settings" icon in the top left corner > toggle on "Logo", and the set watermark will be displayed in the frame.

For a more intuitive operational demonstration, please refer to Tutorial for Adding Nadir Logo Watermark.
Notes
- Watermark priority: If both "Time Watermark" and "Camera Watermark" are enabled, only the "Time Watermark" will be displayed on the final exported video.
- Please double-check before proceeding. Once exported, watermarked files cannot have their watermarks removed via the Insta360 app.
- Adding a watermark does not compress the image of your media. You can add them with confidence.
FAQ
1. Which shooting modes support enabling the time watermark for videos?
Video, FreeFrame Video, Loop Recording, Me Mode, PureVideo, and HDR Video.
2. Can watermarks be added on different export pages?
Exporting from the Player/Album page
- Individual exporting: Turn on the watermark switch on the export panel before exporting the media. You can add a watermark without editing the media. The watermark setting will remember its on/off state once turned on. If you want to turn it off, you need to manually toggle the watermark switch off.
- Batch exporting
- Media with post-production stabilization: The media is exported with watermarks without any editing.
- In-camera stabilized media: The media is exported without watermarks by default if no editing is performed. To add a camera watermark, you need to perform any editing operations other than trimming, such as applying a filter or adjusting the color, before exporting.
Exporting from the Editor page
As long as the watermark switch is toggled on, exporting media will add a watermark without any editing.
3. Can I download files/images with Insta360 watermarks in .png format separately?
Currently, downloading files/images with Insta360 watermarks in .png format is not supported.
4. Why can I only export the brand watermark / Insta360 watermark?
If you are editing and exporting multiple clips on an advanced editing page (such as the "Create a Video", "Auto Edit", or "FlashCut" pages), only the brand watermark will be exported. This is normal, as the logic for adding watermarks on these pages is designed this way.
