The camera's audio features can be adapted to various shooting scenarios. The following instructions detail the operational steps for audio modes, support information for each model, and answers to audio-related FAQ.

How to set an audio mode

  1. Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu.
  2. Tap "Audio Settings" (Microphone icon) to open the audio mode selection page. Select the appropriate audio mode from the page based on your current shooting scenario (e.g., outdoor sports, indoor interviews).

When an external microphone is connected, the camera's audio mode defaults to "Stereo" and cannot be manually switched to other modes currently.

The audio recording quality is significantly affected by ambient noise, and the recommended optimal audio recording distances for different scenarios are:

  • Noisy Outdoor Environments (e.g., sports, street): Within 3 meters (recommended).

4. What is the audio bitrate for the camera's microphones?

The default audio bitrate is 48kbps / 192kbps, which meets the audio clarity requirements for everyday shooting.

5. Can audio recording be turned off while recording?

Currently, it is not supported to turn off audio recording, but you can adjust the volume or mute it during post-production.
