Ace Series: Camera Fails to Recognize Memory Card or Prompts "No Memory Card"

Ace Series: Camera Fails to Recognize Memory Card or Prompts "No Memory Card"

Applicable Models: Ace, Ace Pro, and Ace Pro 2

I. Check memory card and firmware

  1. Verify memory card specifications

Make sure you are using a Micro SD / TF card that meets the UHS-I, V30 or higher speed class specification and is formatted as exFAT. If the card's speed or format is incorrect, please replace it with a compatible card and try again.

  1. Format memory card (back up your data first)

Please refer to: Ace Series: Format Memory Card

  1. Update camera firmware

Connect the camera to the Insta360 app and check for any update notifications. If available, follow the instructions to complete the update.

Please refer to: Ace Series: How to Connect Camera to the Insta360 App and Ace Series: Check and Update Firmware Version

II. Test with another device

If the issue persists after the steps above, try inserting the same memory card into another device (e.g., a computer or a card reader).

  • If the card cannot be recognized by other devices either, the memory card itself may be faulty. We recommend replacing it with another compatible card.
  • If the card can be recognized normally by other devices, we recommend you apply for Insta360 Repair Service for professional diagnostics.
