X Series: Abnormal Indicator Light Behaviors
Applicable Models: ONE X, X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, and X5
Description
- Both indicator lights are not lighting up or one of them is not lighting up.
- The indicator light is brighter on one side than the other, or the brightness is uneven.
- The LED indicator light turns purple when the camera screen turns off during video recording (only applies to X5).
- The indicator light color does not match the camera's operational state as described in the official manual.
Solution
Scenario 1: Both indicator lights are not lighting up or one of them is not lighting up
Issue 1: Both front and rear indicator lights are not lighting up
- Please confirm that the indicator lights are turned on. When they are turned on, the corresponding icon should appear blue.

- Restart the camera and check if the indicator lights return to normal.
- It is recommended to perform a factory reset on the camera to check if the issue is resolved.

Please note: X2 does not currently support factory reset. If you are using an X2 camera, please skip this step.

Issue 2: Only one indicator light is not lighting up

Scenario 2: The indicator light is brighter on one side than the other, or the brightness is uneven

Scenario 3: The LED indicator light turns purple when the camera screen turns off during video recording (for X5 only)
Please confirm if you are using a microphone adapter to connect an external microphone:
- If you are using an adapter: It is recommended to disconnect the microphone and check if the LED indicator light returns to normal.
- If no external microphone is connected, or the issue persists after disconnecting the microphone, please contact Insta360 Customer Support for assistance.
Scenario 4: The indicator light color does not match the camera's operational state as described in the official manual
It is recommended to reset the camera to check if the issue is resolved.
