How to restore factory settings or reset

X3, X4, and X5

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > "Reset Camera" > "Confirm".

X2 (Not supported)

The "Factory Reset" feature is currently not available on Insta360 X2 cameras.

ONE X

Navigate to the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > switch to the "!" icon > scroll down and select "Restore" > select "Confirm".

FAQ

Will restoring factory settings delete the files stored on the camera?

No. Restoring factory settings will only reset the camera's system settings (such as language, parameter settings, etc.), and will not delete photos, videos, and other media files stored on the SD card.
