Flow series gimbals can be used with third-party apps, bringing more flexibility to your shooting experience! Below is a summary of compatible third-party apps for the device, along with details on the functions controllable via gimbal buttons—helping you easily unlock various usage scenarios.

Apple iOS

Currently, Flow Pro and Flow 2 Pro are compatible with the native iPhone Camera, FaceTime, and other third-party apps via DockKit. For the complete list of compatible third-party apps, refer to:

  • DockKit is a tracking technology developed by Apple, enabling Flow Pro and Flow 2 Pro to track in iOS apps that support this technology.
  • The apps listed in the table have been tested and verified compatible by Insta360. If the app you are using is not included, we recommend consulting Apple or the app's developer for further assistance.
  • Native DockKit tracking requires compatible devices (iPhone 12 or later models) and operating systems (iOS 17 or above; iOS 17.4 or above is recommended).

Flow series gimbals do not currently support direct tracking in third-party camera apps. To use this feature in third-party apps, two methods are available:

  • Method 1: Enable the "Live Mode" feature in the Insta360 app.

  • Method 2: For Android users with Flow 2 or Flow 2 Pro, purchase the AI Tracker separately. Once this module is installed, smart tracking shooting is supported in any third-party app, with no model restrictions.
