X6: Auto PureVideo
X6: Auto PureVideo
Applicable Models: X6
Auto PureVideo intelligently detects the ambient light level before recording starts and then automatically switches to the appropriate shooting mode, helping you capture more stable and clearer media in low-light conditions. This article provides operating instructions on this feature as well as answers to some frequently asked questions.
How to enable/disable Auto PureVideo
Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap the "Auto PureVideo" icon to enable or disable the feature.
How the camera automatically switches shooting modes
When "Auto PureVideo" is enabled, the camera monitors the ambient light level before recording starts and then automatically switches between "PureVideo" and "Video" modes. The switching rules are as follows:
When currently in the 360/Flat Video Mode
If the ambient light level drops to or below the preset threshold at the start of recording, the camera automatically switches to the "PureVideo" Mode under the same lens mode.
When currently in 360/Flat PureVideo Mode
If the ambient light level rises above the preset threshold at the start of recording, the camera automatically switches to the "Video" Mode under the same lens mode.
Please note:
- In the 360 Mode, auto-switching is only supported for frame rates up to 30fps. In the Flat Mode, auto-switching is only supported for frame rates up to 60fps. If you set a higher frame rate, the camera will not switch modes automatically.
- The QuickCapture Mode does not support Auto PureVideo.
FAQ
1. Why does the camera not switch modes automatically after Auto PureVideo is enabled?
Please refer to the following possible reasons:
- The current ambient light level does not reach the switching threshold: We recommend you try testing in a brighter or darker environment.
- The frame rate setting exceeds the limit: In the 360 Mode, auto-switching is not supported when the frame rate exceeds 30fps; in the Flat Mode, auto-switching is not supported when the frame rate exceeds 60fps.
- The QuickCapture Mode is being used: This mode does not support Auto PureVideo.
2. If the ambient light becomes brighter or darker during recording, will the camera switch shooting modes automatically?
No. Light detection and mode determination are performed only before recording starts. Changes in light level during recording will not result in switching the shooting mode currently in use.
