Notes

  • This product contains magnetic materials. Please keep it away from devices susceptible to interference, such as pacemakers.
  • With the camera inserted, the maximum waterproof depth of the Dive Case is 196.9ft (60m), but the empty case should not be submerged deeper than 65.6ft (20m) to avoid damage.
  • Before sealing the Dive Case, ensure the seal ring and its contact surfaces are free of foreign objects (dirt, dust, sand, hair, lint, liquid, etc.). Ensure the seal ring is not twisted, misaligned, scratched, or cracked.
  • Do not open or close the Dive Case in areas with heavy sand, dirt, or dust, as foreign matter may adhere to the seal ring, degrading the product performance and potentially damaging the camera.
  • The Dive Case is not impact‑resistant. Severe vibration, impact, or pressure may damage it or reduce its waterproof performance. Diving height should be limited to 6.6ft (2m).
  • If there is bubble‑like glue between the lens and the housing of the Dive Case, this is normal and does not affect waterproof performance.
  • The Invisible Dive Case Pro uses magnetic sensors for recognition. If the case isn't fully closed during installation, the camera might mistake it for another accessory (such as a lens guard). Make sure to fully close the case, and it will automatically switch to Dive Case Pro Mode.
  • Do not open the Dive Case while it is wet.
  • After using the Dive Case in saltwater, clean it as follows:
    1. Remove the camera and securely close the Dive Case.
    2. Soak the case in fresh water for 5 to 10 minutes to prevent residual salt from crystallizing in the gaps and pushing up the rubber seal, which could cause water ingress.
    3. Remove the Dive Case from fresh water, and rinse it with gentle running tap water. Do not direct a strong stream of water at the case from a single direction, as this may cause water ingress.
    4. After cleaning, wipe away any water droplets on the surface with a dry cloth. If fine sand is attached to the Dive Case, be careful when wiping to avoid scratching the surface.
  • Do not use a hairdryer, dryer, or stove to dry the Dive Case.
  • Do not use soapy water, mild detergents, or organic solvents (such as thinner, alcohol, or gasoline) to clean the Dive Case, as this may degrade its waterproof performance.
  • To prevent discoloration or staining of the Dive Case, avoid contact with sunscreen, foundation, hand cream, and other cosmetic or skincare products.
  • Do not store the Dive Case in hot, humid environments, especially inside a hot car.
  • Store the Dive Case in a dry, well‑ventilated place.
  • The Invisible Dive Case Pro contains magnetic materials. Please keep it away from devices susceptible to interference, such as pacemakers.
  • For accurate underwater stitching, update the Insta360 app, Insta360 Studio, and camera firmware to the latest versions. Please update your camera firmware to v1.2.0 or later; the new firmware can be downloaded via the Insta360 app or from the official website.
  • We recommend you keep the Dive Case perpendicular to the water surface when shooting underwater to improve stitching quality and image clarity.
  • Do not open the Dive Case while it is wet.

  • Before using the X3 Invisible Dive Case for the first time, please update your camera firmware to v1.0.80 or later; the new firmware can be downloaded via the Insta360 app or from the official website.

FAQ

1. Why does the Dive Case fog up?

Fogging inside the case occurs because, in underwater environments, water vapor inside the case is heated by the camera body and then condenses upon contact with the cold seawater at the edges of the case. We recommend using an Anti‑Fog Insert to effectively reduce fogging.

2. Why can't the Dive Case be used together with a lens guard?

Using both the lens guard and the case simultaneously will affect stitching quality and reduce image clarity. Please remove the lens guard before using the case to ensure optimal underwater image quality.

3. How can Anti‑Fog Inserts be reused? How many times can they be reused?

To reuse Anti‑Fog Inserts, dry them quickly before use. An oven or a hot hairdryer is recommended. In dry conditions, they can also be sun‑dried, though this takes longer.

To maintain the absorbent performance of the Anti‑Fog Inserts, follow these guidelines: each insert should not be dried and reused more than 4 times. Replace with a new insert after 4 uses.

Please note: Anti‑Fog Inserts absorb moisture even at room temperature. Therefore, do not store dried inserts for long periods in humid environments. When the Anti‑Fog Inserts are not in use, store them in a dry, well‑ventilated place to prevent moisture absorption and loss of effectiveness.

4. How do I use the camera buttons in the Dive Case Mode?

After enabling the Dive Case Mode, you can use the Quick Button and Power Button on the side of the camera to operate the camera. Using Insta360 X3 as an example:

On the preview page, press the Power Button once to switch shooting modes. Press the Quick Button once to start photo capturing or video recording. Double‑press the Quick Button to switch between wide‑angle and 360 lens modes.

Please note: For specific button operations, please refer to the actual display on your camera and the "Button Instructions in Dive Case Mode" in the official user manual of the Dive Case.

5. Are the Weight Blocks for the X5 Invisible Dive Case Pro and the X5 Invisible Dive Case interchangeable?

No. The two Weight Blocks have different weight specifications. The Invisible Dive Case Pro's Weight Block weighs about 10.93oz (310g), while the Invisible Dive Case's Weight Block weighs about 1.06oz (30g). Do not interchange them, as this will cause buoyancy imbalance and affect normal underwater use.

6. How can I reduce fogging in the X6 Invisible Dive Case Pro / X5 Invisible Dive Case Pro underwater?

The X5 Invisible Dive Case Pro uses large‑diameter lenses and has a larger internal cavity, which can hold more moisture. Underwater, internal moisture contacts the cold lens surfaces and condenses into water droplets, causing fogging.

You can take the following steps to reduce fogging:

  • Avoid leaving the case open for extended periods, which exposes the Anti‑Fog Inserts to humid air.
  • If the case has been left open or opened in a humid environment, replace the Anti‑Fog Insert with a new one.
  • The black part inside the Dive Case is the Light Blocking Cover. Since the cover is water absorbent, make sure it is completely dry before submersion to prevent residual moisture from causing internal fogging.

Action

Notes

Anti-Fog Insert

Before submersion

Use a dry Anti‑Fog Insert

Make sure the insert is dry before installation.

Use a newly opened insert whenever possible.

Close the Dive Case quickly after placing the insert. to prevent the insert from absorbing moisture from humid air, which would reduce its effectiveness.

During use

Minimize the time and frequency of opening the case

If you need to remove the camera, close the case and lock the latch as soon as possible to prevent the insert from being exposed to humid air for too long.

During use

Replace with a new insert

If the Dive Case has been open for an extended period, replace the insert with a new one before the next submersion.

Light Blocking Cover

After cleaning the Dive Case

Make sure the cover is completely dry before submersion

Use a tissue to wipe away any moisture on the inside of the lens and on the surface of the Light Blocking Cover.

Open the Dive Case and leave it in an air‑conditioned room to air‑dry for at least 8 hours.

7. Why does the X5 Invisible Dive Case Pro produce a slight curved white flare in strong light? How can this be improved?
  • Reason: Due to manufacturing tolerances, the actual dimensions of Light Blocking Covers may differ slightly from the design. The diameter of the Light Blocking Cover may be slightly smaller than the lens opening, and the flare is caused by light passing through the gap between the lens and the cover. This does not affect normal use.
  • Recommendation: When shooting underwater, try to avoid strong light sources or direct‑light scenarios. This reduces light reflection at the edges of the lens, improving video clarity and quality.

We will continuously optimize our products to provide you with a better user experience. Thank you for your understanding and support!
