Lens Element Replacement Guide

When the camera lens element develops scratches due to bumps, you can replace the lens element yourself using the official repair kit.

Scope of Application: This kit is intended solely for replacing scratched lens elements.
Scenarios where self-replacement is not recommended: If you encounter a cracked lens, a deformed/worn lens retaining ring, or severe camera damage, do not operate it yourself. It is recommended to contact official after-sales service for repairs.

Dust-free and Dry Environment: It is recommended to operate in a dust-free, dry room with humidity below 60% (air conditioning dehumidification can be enabled if humidity is too high) to prevent dust from entering the interior of the lens or causing fogging.
Operating Platform: Hold the camera by hand, or place the camera on a flat surface padded with a lens cleaning cloth.
Confirm Kit Tools: Ensure that the kit includes the new lens element, lens assembly tool (with suction cup), prying tool, lens storage box, and cleaning tools (air blower, brush, wet wipes, lens cloth, disposable gloves).

Wear Gloves: Put on disposable gloves to prevent hand grease from contaminating optical components.
Remove the Retaining Ring: Align the lens assembly tool with the patterns on the lens retaining ring, rotate counterclockwise by approximately 30, and remove the retaining ring along with the tool.
Pry Up the Old Lens Element: Align the prying tool with the edge of the old lens element and gently pry it up to remove the old lens element.

Inspect and Clean Inner Lens (Optional): Inspect the surface of the camera's inner lens. If dust or stains are present, clean them with the air blower first, then use the brush to sweep away stains. Wipe with cleaning wet wipes if necessary and dry with a lens cloth.
Insert New Lens Element: Take the new lens element out of the storage box, align it with the inner lens, and fit it into the camera body (Note: Do not remove the suction cup from the lens element just yet).
Install the Retaining Ring:

Use the assembly tool to align the lens retaining ring with the camera body, ensuring it sits flush with the body.
Tighten it by rotating clockwise by approximately 30, then remove the suction cup to complete installation.
Keep the camera body horizontal and rotate slowly when turning. Do not press down hard on the assembly tool to avoid cross-threading or installing the retaining ring crookedly. If it is crooked, slowly unscrew it and reinstall. Furthermore, do not mix up the front and rear lens retaining rings of the camera body.

Stitching calibration must be performed after replacing the lens element to ensure the 360 image stitches seamlessly:

Select Environment: Head to an outdoor environment with good lighting, open space, and no obstructions. Ensure there are tall reference objects such as trees or buildings outside a 10-meter radius of the camera.
Remove Accessories: Be sure to remove all external optical accessories such as lens guards and dive cases before calibration.
Turn on Calibration: Power on the camera, swipe down to enter the menu, and select Settings > Stitching Calibration in sequence.
Calibration Operation: Hold the camera, keeping one lens facing straight up and the other lens facing straight down. Extend your arm fully and keep your body horizontally still (do not move during the shooting process).
Complete Inspection: Wait for the camera to automatically shoot and finish the stitching calibration check. Once the screen pops up a prompt stating "Calibration successful" or "No calibration required", tap confirm to use the camera normally.
