X Series: Gyroscope Calibration

Applicable Models: ONE X, X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, X5, and X6

Gyroscope calibration helps accurately measure the camera's orientation and movement, which can prevent shaky or tilted images.

How to perform a gyroscope calibration

Power on the camera and place it on a level surface. Follow the instructions according to your specific camera model:

X6, X5, X4 Air, and X4

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > "Gyroscope Calibration". Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration.

Indicator light status during calibration: Solid cyan.

X3

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > "Gyro Calibration". Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration.

Indicator light status during calibration: Flashing blue and green.

X2

1. Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu, then tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙).
2. Swipe down to select "General Settings" and find "Gyro Calibration".
3. Drag the progress bar to calibrate according to the on-screen instructions.

Indicator light status during calibration: Flashing blue and green.

ONE X

ONE X requires gyroscope calibration through the ONE X app; it currently does not support calibration via the Insta360 app. The ONE X app has been removed from Apple App Store and is no longer available for download or installation. For details, please refer to the Notice Regarding Service Status Change of Insta360 ONE X App. However, if you downloaded and installed the ONE X app before its removal, you may continue to use its original functions. You can follow these steps to complete the calibration:

1. Open the ONE X app and connect the camera to your phone.
2. Tap "Settings" > "Gyro calibration".
3. Tap "Next" as prompted to proceed with calibration.
