With AI Highlights Assistant enabled, the camera automatically identifies and flags exciting moments during recording. When the camera is connected to your phone, the Insta360 app will deliver ready-edited highlight clips in the "Memories" of the Album.

How to enable AI Highlights Assistant

• X4, X4 Air, and X5: Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu, and tap the "AI Highlights Assistant" icon to enter the page and turn it on.

• ONE X, X2, and X3: AI Highlights Assistant is not supported.

Please note:

• AI Highlights Assistant is unavailable on X5 when the following modes are enabled: Endurance Mode, Stereo Recording, and 360 Audio.
• AI Highlights Assistant cannot be used simultaneously with 360 Audio on X4 Air.

1. How to view highlight clips after enabling AI Highlights Assistant?

Open the Insta360 app, connect the camera to your phone, and tap "Album" > "Memories" to view the highlight clips.

Please note: Enabling AI Highlights Assistant can reduce the processing time for generating Memories clips in the Insta360 app.

2. Why is my AI Highlights Assistant disabled or grayed out?

AI Highlights Assistant is disabled by default and needs to be turned on manually. If the toggle is unavailable (grayed out), it usually means the current shooting mode or setting does not support AI Highlights Assistant. Please switch to a shooting mode or configuration supporting this feature first.

3. How does AI Highlights Assistant differ most between the X Series and Ace Series cameras? Does it support manual flagging of highlight clips?

AI Highlights Assistant provides the same core function across X5, X4 Air, X4 and Ace Series cameras: automatically identifying exciting moments to reduce time for automatic analysis in the app. AI Highlights Assistant in X5, X4 Air, and X4 does not currently support manual flagging of highlight clips.
