Scenario 1: Transfer files from your camera to a phone or computer
From camera to phone (iOS/Android)
- Connect the camera to the Insta360 app.
- Open the Insta360 app and navigate to the Album page. Long press to select a single piece of media, or tap the "check mark" icon in the top right corner to select multiple pieces of media for batch processing.
- You can choose to "Download" media to the Insta360 app, or "Export" media to your phone's system album.
- File download: Tap "Download". Then, media with in-camera stabilization applied is saved to both the phone's system album and the Insta360 app's Album page, while media with post-production stabilization applied is only saved to the Insta360 app's Album page and requires another tap of "Export" to be saved to the phone's system album. You can identify the stabilization type by referring to the figure below:

- File export: Tap "Export". You can choose to save it to your phone's system album, or share it directly to a third-party platform.
Please refer to: X Series: How to Connect the Camera to the Insta360 App
Please note: Uninstalling the Insta360 app or logging in on a different phone will cause files previously saved in the Insta360 app's Album page to disappear. It is recommended to export important media to your phone's system album or back it up to a cloud drive.
From camera to computer (Mac/Windows)
- Connect the camera to your computer using the officially supplied Type-C USB cable. Turn on the camera and wait for the camera's drive icon to appear on your computer.
- Open the "DCIM" > "Camera01" folder in the drive, then copy the photos or videos inside to your computer.
Please note: If the camera cannot be connected to your computer, please troubleshoot by following the steps below.
- Ensure the camera firmware is updated to the latest version.
- Please always use the officially supplied USB cable, as third-party cables may not be compatible.
- Check that the camera is powered on.
- Confirm that the Micro SD card model is compatible with the camera, and that the card is undamaged and making proper contact.
- Try using a different USB port on the computer, or test with another computer to rule out port issues.
