X5 has an IPX8 waterproof rating, allowing it to be submerged in water up to 49 feet (15 meters) without additional accessories. Using a dive case allows for enhanced waterproof capabilities.

Q2 Can X5 be used underwater without a Dive Case?

Using the X5 underwater without a Dive Case may affect image stitching quality due to underwater light refraction issues. For optimal underwater filming results, we recommend using the X5 Dive Case.

Q3 What precautions should I take when using X5 underwater?

• Before use, ensure that the camera's battery cover and USB cover gaskets are intact and free of dust or sand. Make sure the battery cover and USB cover are securely locked, with no orange marks visible, to maintain waterproofing. Clean with a lint-free cloth if necessary.
• After use, rinse the camera surface with clean water. Soak it in fresh water for 5-10 minutes, then wipe it dry with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry in a ventilated area. Ensure that the camera is completely dry before removing the battery or performing other operations.
• If there are issues with the speaker/microphone after underwater use, hold the camera firmly and shake out any water from the speaker and microphone Wind Guard. Then, place the camera upright in a dry environment for at least 24 hours. If the issue persists, please apply for repair service.
