Replacement Lens Kit
Q1 Why is it recommended to replace the X5 lens with the X5 Replacement Lens Kit in a dry (humidity ≤60%), dust-free indoor environment?
For optimal results, we recommend replacing the lens in a dry and dust-free indoor environment with relative humidity below 60%. High-humidity environments can cause moisture to enter the camera, leading to lens fogging and affecting image quality. Take special care to ensure that no dust particles enter the camera, which may also affect image quality.
Tips
- Before replacing the lens, turn on your air conditioner's dehumidification mode or run a dehumidifier for at least one hour to reduce the effects of humidity and dust.
- If you're unable to replace the lens in the recommended environment, you can ship us your camera and Replacement Lens Kit. We will perform a professional lens replacement free of charge. Note: If you don't send us the replacement lens, additional charges for lens materials will apply.
Q2 What should I do if the white marking point on the lens ring doesn't align with the microphone/microphone Wind Guard centerline during installation?
When installing a new lens using the Replacement Lens Kit, please ensure the following:
- During installation, use the lens grip tool to gently turn the lens ring about two full turns. There is no need to tighten it fully.
- If the white marking point is not perfectly aligned with the microphone, you can use the tool to adjust it back to an approximately aligned position, allowing for slight deviation.
- Calibrate the new lenses: Swipe down from the top of the camera screen > tap the "⚙" icon > tap "Stitching Calibration."
