1. Which phones or tablets are compatible with X4 Air?

X4 Air works best with mobile devices that meet the following requirements. Devices that don't fully meet them can still connect, but performance (especially when editing high-resolution footage in the Insta360 app) may be reduced.

  • Devices below these specs can still install the Insta360 app and control X4 Air, but AI editing or high-resolution video playback may lag.
  • Devices with Qualcomm SDM765 5G chipsets (such as OPPO Reno3 5G) are not supported due to limited hardware decoding.
  • The Insta360 app requires a 64-bit OS. The app does not support 32-bit systems.

2. Can I still use X4 Air if my device doesn't meet the requirements?

Yes. As long as your phone or tablet can install the Insta360 app and activate the camera, you can shoot and control X4 Air normally. If your device struggles with editing or exporting, use our desktop software Insta360 Studio on a computer for better performance.
