1. Why should I replace the lenses in a dry, dust-free room with humidity ≤ 60%?

Replacing lenses in a dry, dust-free room prevents fogging and keeps dust from entering the camera, ensuring the best image quality. High humidity can cause moisture buildup inside the lens area, while dust can affect clarity and stitching.

• Before replacing the lenses, turn on a dehumidifier for about 1 hour to lower humidity and reduce dust.
• If you can't meet these conditions, you can send X4 Air and the Replacement Lens Kit to an official Insta360 service center for free installation. You'll only pay for the lenses if you do not send them with the camera.

2. What precautions should I take when replacing the lenses?

When replacing the lenses with the X4 Air Replacement Lens Kit, follow these steps carefully:

a. Use the included lens tool to gently rotate the lens ring about two turns.

b. Align the white mark on the front lens with the microphone hole, and the white mark on the rear lens with the center of the microphone vent.

c. If the marks aren't aligned, use the tool to make small adjustments until they line up correctly.

d. After installing, perform stitching calibration. Swipe down on the touchscreen > Settings > Stitching Calibration.

Notes:

• Avoid pressing down too hard with the tool. Excess pressure can cause misalignment.
• If a lens ring becomes misaligned, slowly unscrew it and reinstall.
• Do not mix up the front and rear lens rings—they are not interchangeable.
