In the 360 Mode, Horizon Lock is enabled by default for all photo and video modes. You can enable or disable this feature in-camera or during post-production according to your needs as follows:
Horizon Lock in photo modes can only be adjusted during post-production editing. You can enable or disable "Automatic horizon leveling" in the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.
Open the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio > enter the editing page > enable or disable "Automatic horizon leveling" under Stabilization Type
Among all video modes, only the FreeFrame Video Mode provides an in-camera toggle for "Horizon Lock". In other video modes, the FlowState Stabilization and Horizon Lock features share the same toggle, "FlowState Stabilization", and cannot be controlled independently.
The Tilt Recovery feature is used to preserve the natural tilt effect from the shooting perspective. When enabled, the media retains the original tilt from shooting, making it ideal for cycling/motorcycle scenes and enhancing immersion.
How to Enable: Import a video into Insta360 Studio and in the right-side menu bar > click "Stabilization Type" > enable "FlowState Stabilization" > Check the "Tilt Recovery" box.
Please note: The Tilt Recovery feature can only be set in Insta360 Studio. To use it, please import your videos into Insta360 Studio.
X5, X4 Air and X4 feature a six-axis gyroscope and FlowState stabilization technology to ensure you can capture stable and clear videos even during intense motion. The 360° Horizon Lock feature maintains a level horizon in footage even when the camera is rotated, ensuring that the resulting video is more smooth and stable.
Yes, the FlowState Stabilization feature is supported during live streaming for more stable live streams.
