Formatting X4

We recommend formatting your microSD card periodically to avoid potential file storage issues. Before formatting the SD card, make sure to transfer any footage on the card to your phone or computer to avoid losing it.
You can format your SD card via the camera or our mobile app.

To format via your X4 camera:

1.Insert your microSD card into X4.
2.Turn on X4.
3.Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap "Settings" > "SD Card" > "Format".

To format via the Insta360 app:

1.Connect X4 to the Insta360 app on your phone.
2.Enter the Settings tab, then tap "Other Settings" > "Camera Storage" > "Format Storage".

Note: If you're formatting an SD card by computer, make sure to use exFAT format. The allocation unit size should be set to default.
