While X4 has advanced heat dissipation functionality, the Thermo Grip Cover can help make X4 more comfortable to hold in your hands when shooting in 8K for prolonged periods of time.

Q2 Does the Thermo Grip Cover lower the temperature of the camera? Does it reduce the heat produced by the camera?

No. The Thermo Grip Cover lowers the temperature that you feel when holding X4 in your hand. The incorporated graphene material helps with heat dissipation. Under normal circumstances, the camera is not likely to overheat.

Q3 Can I use the Thermo Grip Cover in sports scenarios?

We do not recommend using the Thermo Grip Cover in sports scenarios. For most sports use cases, wind will naturally help cool the device.

Q4 Can I use the Thermo Grip Cover in water scenarios/water sports?

We do not recommend using the Thermo Grip Cover in water sports scenarios. The Thermo Grip Cover is not compatible with the Invisible Dive Case, and prolonged exposure underwater could affect the performance of the graphene material, reducing its thermal insulation effect.

Q5 In what scenarios should I use the Thermo Grip Cover?

We recommend using the Thermo Grip Cover in still, windless environments when holding X4 in your hands.

Q6 Can the Thermo Grip Cover be used with other accessories?

The Thermo Grip Cover cannot be used with the following Insta360 accessories: Invisible Dive Case, Utility Frame, Water Sports Rope Mount and Cold Shoe.
