Applicable Models: X2, X3, X4, X4 Air, and X5

To help you create more stylized media, the camera has a variety of built-in filter options. This article explains how to enable in-camera filters and details the filter types available for different camera models.

How to enable filters

Swipe left from the right edge of the camera screen and tap the "Filter" icon to select your desired filter effect.

The camera firmware must be updated to v1.7.43 or later

The following filters are only supported in specific Single-Lens modes for X5 (including Single-Lens Photo, Single-Lens Video, Single-Lens PureVideo, and Single-Lens Loop Recording):

Vivid Bright (formerly "Vivid"): Rich and saturated tones, creating a bright visual atmosphere, ideal for well-lit outdoor scenes and everyday life recording

Monochrome: Stripping away colors to refocus visual attention. This filter enhances light and shadow contrast, suitable for architectural, documentary, and street photography

NC Film: Classic negative film effect with a retro feel and higher contrast

NC2 Film: Classic negative film effect with a modern feel and higher contrast

CC Film: Vivid positive film effect

CC2 Film: Vivid positive film effect, specially optimized for night scenes

Retro Neon: Inspired by movies like "As Tears Go By", featuring warm greenish tones with a strong Hong Kong-style retro atmosphere, suitable for night street scenes

Vintage Vacation: Inspired by movies like "The Grand Budapest Hotel", featuring soft tones and a fairytale-like color palette, suitable for colorful daytime scenes

X4 and X4 Air

Standard: Moderate saturation, delivering a realistic look that matches the actual scene

Vivid: High saturation and bright colors, suitable for direct output of media

Flat: Low saturation with a grayish tone, suitable for post-production editing
