Via USB-C Cable

Insta360 Wave is compatible with both Windows and macOS systems. To avoid compatibility issues, it is recommended to use the included USB-C cable to connect it to your device.

Via Dongle

Remove the Dongle from Insta360 Wave and insert it into a computer or other device to connect.

The Dongle features a USB-A port. You can also use the included USB-A to USB-C Adapter to connect the dongle to your device's USB-C port.

When connecting the Dongle for the first time, it will automatically pair with Insta360 Wave without any manual operation required from the user. If the original Dongle is lost or damaged, the user will need to unbind it in the settings page and bind a new one.

Tips: When storing the Dongle, please place it according to the orientation in the storage slot to ensure a secure fit.

Via Bluetooth

  1. On the touchscreen, go to “More > Settings > Bluetooth” to enable it.
  2. In the Bluetooth settings of your phone/computer, search for and connect to the device name displayed on the touchscreen.

Tip: The Bluetooth function is disabled by default. For first-time use, please enable it in the device's "Settings > Feature Access".

Usage Scenarios and Core Functions

After connecting to a computer, you can use the device's core functions according to different needs:

1. As a High-Quality Conference Microphone and Speaker
  • You can directly select this device as the default microphone and speaker in your computer system or conferencing software (such as Zoom, Teams, etc.) to instantly obtain a clear call experience.
  • Audio Mode Selection: You can flexibly choose the pickup pattern in the device settings based on different scenarios.
    • Noise Reduction (Default): Intelligently filters ambient noise to make human voices clearer and more prominent. Noise reduction mode is recommended for conference scenarios.
    • Original: Provides high-fidelity sound recording, preserving more environmental details.
2. As a Local Recording Device (Voice Recorder)
  • This function meets the needs for independent recording, such as training, interviews, and customer service records.
  • How to Enable: In the device's "Settings > Feature Access > Local Recording".
  • Usage and Storage: Once enabled, the device can be used as a professional voice recorder. All recording files will be stored securely and directly on the device locally.
  • Enterprise-level Collaboration: To facilitate team collaboration and data archiving, locally stored recording files can be automatically uploaded to designated internal servers or cloud platforms by corporate IT systems via the device's open API, achieving efficient file management and subsequent processing.
