3.2.2 [Advanced] Recording panoramic sound

Although Insta360 Titan can record panoramic sounds, external audio devices are still needed if you want higher sound quality or wireless audio recording. Here we’d like to introduce the application of Zoom H3-VR recorder.

Titan supports recording panoramic sound through USB external port connecting to Zoom H3-VR audio recorder. Please update the recorder's firmware to the latest version before use.

Recorded panoramic sound will be consistent with Titan itself, both following Ambisonic standard. It can be exported via Insta360 Stitcher, uploaded to Facebook, Youtube and other platforms supporting this standard.

Record panoramic sound using Zoom H3-VR recorder

1. Mount Zoom H3-VR recorder to Titan camera using a 1/4" to 1/4" male threaded screw adapter.
   
   
   
2. Connect the recorder to Titan via USB cable.
   
   
   
3. Turn on the recorder and go to USB - Audio I/F.
   
   
   
4. Select the audio mode you need: "Stereo" or "4ch Ambisonics" (4-channel panoramic sound).
