Insta360 Studio: QuickLook

The QuickLook plugin enables quick preview of INSV, INSP, and LRV files with one click, allowing for convenient browsing of your media files and significantly improving media viewing efficiency. This article provides instructions on how to use this plugin.

How to use the QuickLook plugin for Insta360 Studio

1. Please update Insta360 Studio to version v5.6.1 or later to use this plugin.

Please note: When installing Insta360 Studio, make sure to check "Install quick look plugin" on the "Select Additional Tasks" window to ensure the plugin is properly enabled.

1. Connect the camera to your computer using a USB cable to access the camera's memory card.
2. Navigate to the folder containing your media. Select a 360 media file in INSV, INSP, or LRV format and press the spacebar to quickly preview the panoramic effect. You can also drag the image to view it from more angles.

Please note: To enhance loading speed and preview smoothness, the QuickLook plugin uses lightweight processing for image details, stitching, and stabilization. Therefore, the stability and detail of the preview may differ from the final exported video. Please refer to the final exported result for accurate quality.

System compatibility and instructions for use

Mac

• Due to system limitations, real-time stitching preview is currently not supported for dual-lens INSV files from X3 and earlier models.
• The plugin is only compatible with macOS 12 or later. Please ensure your system version meets this requirement before use.

Windows

• The plugin starts automatically with the computer and runs in the background (occupying approximately 130MB of memory). You can view or manually close it from the system tray.
