How to add stats in Insta360 Studio?

After you import a video containing GPS data into Insta360 Studio, the system will automatically add the default stats. Alternatively, you can click the "Stats" icon on the right to select and switch between different stats templates.

For a more intuitive operational demonstration, please refer to the tutorial for Adding Stats in Insta360 Studio.

Please note: The stats templates and statistical elements shown in official tutorials are not updated in real-time. Please refer to the latest version of Insta360 Studio for the specific templates and supported statistical elements available.

To ensure the feature works, please confirm the following conditions are met when adding stats:

  • Supported media types: Media shot in the Timelapse, Starlapse, TimeShift, Slow Motion, and Bullet Time Modes is not supported to add stats, because the final media has a variable speed effect that cannot be accurately synchronized with GPS data. Media shot in all other modes support the Stats feature.
  • Supported data sources:
    • Data acquired via Insta360 GPS Preview Remote.
    • Data acquired after turning on the GPS switch in the shooting page of the Insta360 app while the camera is connected.
    • GPX or FIT files imported manually from third-party devices and applications (including Garmin, Apple Health, COROS, IGPSPORT, Huawei Health, etc.). (Insta360 Studio v5.7.6 or later is required).
    • Importing data acquired via Garmin devices is supported for generate stats (Insta360 Studio version v5.8.6 or later is required).

Please note: Insta360 Studio does not support importing data from "GPS Activity Stats".

  • Supported video types for export: Stats can only be exported with "flat videos". Exporting the stats with "360° videos" is not supported temporarily.
  • Supported sports data types: Direction (latitude and longitude), acceleration, tilt angle, date & time, distance, altitude, pace, route, gradient, and speed. Please note:
    • Date and time information of videos can also be added separately via the "Time Watermark" feature.
    • Adding date and time information is not supported for photos.
  • Supported language: The data elements in the stats (e.g., speed, altitude) currently can only be displayed in English (using abbreviations or universal icons) and have not been adapted for other languages.

How to disable or remove stats?

You can disable stats in the following way: Click "Menu" at the top bar of Studio > select "Settings" > click "Preferences" > select "Other" in the window that opens > check the box for "Dashboard Disabled by Default". Once this is set, when you import a video containing GPS data, stats will no longer be added automatically.
