Yes, Sphere only films in 360. And the cool thing about 360 videos is that they can be easily converted into regular flat video if desired. Just open the footage in the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio desktop software and you’re free to edit your video, then export as a regular flat video in an .mp4 file.
Sphere only supports 2.4GHz WiFi.
Sphere is not water resistant. Do not use the camera in or around water, including in the rain.
H.264/H.265/ProRes 422 (available when exporting on Desktop software Insta360 Studio).
Insta360 Sphere is our new, unibody camera designed for seamless use with DJI Mavic Air 2/2S. This is the ultimate tool to level up your aerial videography content with 5.7K 360-degree invisible drone footage.
Insta360 ONE R Aerial Add-On is a previously released accessory made up of a split 360 lens, vertical battery base and drone mount, but does not include the ONE R core (necessary for use). Insta360 ONE R Aerial Add-On is also only compatible with earlier drone models, connecting to either the DJI Mavic 2 or DJI Mavic Pro.
The drone's GPS system will not be impeded by having the Sphere attached to it. Before take off, please make sure that the GPS signal of the drone is normal and the "P Mode" is used (it's not recommended to fly the drone when in "A Mode" or when the GPS signal is poor due to environmental factors).
Insta360 Sphere will slightly affect the drone's run time and maneuverability. Make sure to bear this in mind when checking the battery life during flight.
