Applicable Models: Snap Selfie Screen and Snap Selfie Screen with Light
Please note:
If your phone supports custom buttons, it is recommended to set your phone's side button to control shooting in advance to make the selfie screen easier to use.
Please note: The way to enable and use the side camera button depends on your phone model. Generally, you can adjust the custom function of the side button through your phone's "Settings" > "Camera" or "Photo".
If you are an iPhone user, you need to enable Zoom on your phone first to use the touchscreen of the selfie screen. Go to "Settings" > "Accessibility" > "Zoom" and enable it. After zooming, double-tap with three fingers to return to the default view.
Please note: After enabling Zoom, you can open iPhone's native camera while the phone is locked.
Please note: Do not press or squeeze the bent section of the cable, as this could cause poor connection.
Please note: Due to differences in factors such as holding posture and grip strength, you need to keep your fingers within the anti-touch area while holding the device to avoid unintended touches on the phone screen.
Recommended holding methods:
Method 1: Use the side button of your phone to take photos, and avoid touching the screen with your fingers while holding.
Method 2: Support the protective cover with the thumb web, wrap four fingers fully around the other side of the phone, and control the shutter with your thumb on the screen, keeping fingers away from the screen.
Method 1: After powering on the selfie screen, you can shoot directly via the touchscreen, or use your phone's side button to control shooting.
Method 2: If your phone or camera app supports voice or gesture control, you can enable this feature to control shooting.
Please note: For landscape shooting, turn on the rotation lock (disable auto-rotate) on your phone before shooting. If the image is upside down, single-press the Mirror Button on the selfie screen to restore normal display.
Method 3: Use the selfie screen with Insta360 Ring Remote. You can control phone shooting by operating the ring without touching the selfie screen.
Please note: Before use the Ring Remote, make sure the firmware of the remote has been updated to v1.0.0.23 or later.
To update the remote firmware, please refer to: Remote: How to Update Firmware
Method 4: Use Insta360 Mini Remote with your phone’s selfie screen. Simply operate the remote to control shooting on your phone, no need to tap the selfie screen.
Please note: Before use, make sure the firmware of your Mini Remote is updated to v1.0.0.25 or later.
To connect the Ring Remote / Mini Remote to your phone, follow these steps:
When not in use, store the selfie screen as shown in the image to prevent the cable from swinging and touching the screen. Also protect the selfie screen from impacts during vigorous exercise or scratches caused by hard objects.
No. Only the connection with cable is supported at present.
Due to the limited power output of the Lightning port, Insta360 Selfie Screen does not currently support direct connection to non-Type-C ports such as Lightning, and cannot be used with an adapter.
The selfie screen supports phone screen casting and can control the native camera, third-party camera apps, and other applications.
A phone's rear camera delivers better performance than the front camera. The selfie screen enables high-quality selfies using the rear camera and real-time preview via screen casting, ensuring better image quality and composition for everyday recording.
The selfie screen supports screen casting. After connecting the selfie screen, all shooting functions on your phone, including photo taking and video recording, can be used normally. You can also tap the cast screen to preview or delete content directly, without switching back to your phone screen.
The selfie screen connects via a cable with minimal delay, enabling real-time screen sync for smooth framing and composition.
Press and hold the Mirror Button for 3 seconds to switch the screen ratio. You can view the full phone screen or the maximum preview page as needed.
Please refer to the image in the Instructions for Use and fold the protective cover over the phone screen. This will prevent direct contact and reduce accidental touches.
The selfie screen does not support automatic brightness synchronization with the phone and remains at maximum brightness by default.
The selfie screen primarily serves as a screen casting device. Video recording parameters such as resolution and frame rate are entirely determined by the performance of the connected phone's camera, not by the selfie screen itself. Please refer to the actual video specifications supported by your phone.
