Q1: What should I do if ONE X2's indicator is solid blue or cyan with no response after pressing the button or touching the screen?

In this case, the camera may have frozen. Please long-press the power button for 7 seconds to force shutdown.

Q2: What can I do if ONE X2 will not activate?

If the app page displays "Activation failed" and prompts "Please connect to the Internet before starting camera activation" when you try to activate ONE X2, please follow the steps below to activate the camera.

  1. Please click "GO TO Wi-Fi SETTINGS", and select the home Wi-Fi with good internet to connect on the phone's WLAN settings.
  2. After successfully connecting to the home Wi-Fi, please return to the app page and select the ONE X2 to connect. According to the prompt, copy the camera's Wi-Fi password and click "Go to settings" again.
  3. Now please select the ONE X2's Wi-Fi and connect it. Once the connection is established, please go back to the app and wait for ONE X2 to be activated successfully.

Q3: Why do we need to do Gyro calibration?

If the Gyro data is abnormal, it will cause the image of the captured video to lose stabilization or cause the horizontal of the image to be incorrect. So in general, Gyro calibration can ensure that the subsequent shooting materials will not have similar problems.

Q4: How will it affect shooting if the Gyro is abnormal? How do I fix it?

The image of the captured videos will possibly be jittery or the horizontal of the photo will be incorrect. Please refer to the tutorial to perform Gyro calibration.
(Note: Gyro calibration will only affect the newly shot videos. The App or Studio cannot be used to adjust the already captured videos. So it is recommended to use third-party software to adjust: Premiere Pro 2019 or Final Cut Pro X 10.4 has its own direction adjustment plug-in for this purpose. Photoshop 2019 or higher can help with photos.)

Q5: What should I do if a firmware update fails?

There are two methods to update firmware: via the app and via Micro SD card. If the update fails and the camera cannot be shut down normally, please press and hold the power button for 7 seconds or pull out the battery to force power off the camera, and then refer to the following steps to fix it.

  1. If it failed via the app, it is recommended to restart the camera and try again; If it still fails, it is recommended to do an update via Micro SD card. Please refer to the tutorial for detailed steps.

  2. If it failed via Micro SD card, please make sure:

  • The downloaded firmware file is stored in the root directory of the Micro SD card;
  • The name of the firmware file has not been modified, and the initial file name should be: Insta360OneX2FW.bin;
  • The camera battery is sufficiently charged;
  1. If the update still fails, or the camera cannot be turned on due to the firmware upgrade, please contact customer service for further support.

Q6: Why does ONE X2 not memorize a shooting mode?

If the shooting mode will not be memorized, please confirm whether you connected to a computer for file transfer after shooting. If so, the shooting mode will not be memorized.
