Q1 Can Insta360 ONE be used independently?

Yes. ONE supports Lightning connecting (Android adapter for Android devices), Bluetooth connecting and it can also be used alone as a camera. For more information, please refer to Bluetooth Tutorial and Independent Mode Tutorial.

Q2 What is blue LED indicator blinking for?

Blue LED indicator blinking implies errors with Micro SD card. Please check if there is no Micro SD card in ONE or the SD card storage is full or the SD card format is wrong. If there is no Micro SD card in it, blue light blinking implies normal status. For more information, please check LED Indicator Status.

Q3 How to turn on Insta360 ONE?

Option 1: Toggle the switch, the lightning connector will automatically pop up. Plug ONE to your Phone/Pad, and ONE App will open automatically. (Android adapter for Android devices)
Option 2: Press the power button to turn on the camera (with MicroSD card installed). Long press the power button for 3 seconds to turn off.

Q4 What can I do if the camera has no response?

  1. Check whether ONE is out of battery, if yes, please charge it first.
  2. If ONE still has no response, please long-press the power button for 20 seconds or press the reset hole underneath the camera via the pin to reset.
  3. If the blue or green light keeps on after firmware update, please first try to long press the button for 20s to reset. If no response, please try to format the microSD card. And if still no response, please plug the microSD card and try to update the camera firmware via microSD card.
  4. Connect ONE to Phone/Pad, open Settings-->General-->About-->Scroll to the bottom---> Find the Insta360 ONE here (but at this status it is disconnected on software), please first try to shut down the App, unplug & plug the camera again onto the Phone/Pad. If there is still no response, try to delete and reinstall App, unplug & plug the camera again onto the Phone/Pad.
  5. Connect ONE to Phone/Pad, open Settings-->General-->About-->Scroll to the bottom---> If Insta360 ONE cannot be found here, please try to check the Lightning connector first. If still no response, try to restart your iPhone and unplug & plug the camera again onto the Phone/Pad. If problems cannot be solved, please contact us via Insta360 Online Service or email (service@insta360.com).

Q5 How to use a protective case as a monopod?

Connect the standard 1/4 screw port to the protective case as the diagram shown, then put it horizontally for independent/Bluetooth connection shooting.

Q6 How to turn on stabilization function?

The stabilization function of the camera is enabled by default.

Q7 How to check the serial number of camera?

  1. Connect ONE to Phone or Pad.
  2. Tap Setting of Phone/Pad -> Tap General -> About -> Insta360 ONE.

Q8 Why videos are saved in different files in Micro SD card?

For long time recording, a video will automatically be stored in multiple separate files.

Q9 How to adjust the shooting parameters?

Connect ONE to Phone/Pad:

  1. Connect ONE to Phone/Pad.
  2. Tap Camera button.
  3. Tap Setting at the lower right corner to adjust Exposure mode, ISO, Shutter, Exposure, WB.
  4. Or tap Retouch to use Beauty/Filter function.
  5. After setting, tap the Shutter button to take photo/video.

Connect ONE via Bluetooth:

  1. Connect ONE via Bluetooth first.
  2. After successful connection, tap Setting at the lower right corner to adjust Exposure, WB.
  3. After setting, tap the Shutter button to take photo/video.

Q10 How to turn on VR mode?

  1. Open ONE App -> tap Album -> select a photo or a video.
  2. Tap More at the top right corner.
  3. Turn on VR and set the device in the VR glasses for viewing.
