Mic Pro: Channel Modes

Applicable Models: Mic Pro

The channel modes offer 4 professional audio capture options, precisely tailored for single, dual, multi-person, and high-security recording scenarios, meeting diverse recording needs. This article describes how to set up the channel mode and the applicable scenarios for each mode.

How to set up the channel mode

Swipe down from the top of the receiver touchscreen to enter the Control Center > Tap "RX Settings" > "Channel Mode", and you can select a channel mode according to your needs.

Description of the four channel modes

· S (Stereo): The left and right channels correspond to the sound from transmitter 1 and transmitter 2 respectively, providing spatiality and directionality. This mode is suitable for two-person conversations, vlogs, ambient sound, music, and other scenarios that require stereo recording.

· M (Mono): The left and right channels output identical signals; all audio is merged into one channel. This mode is suitable for interviews, speeches, monologues, podcasts, and similar scenarios.

· Q (Quadraphonic): Audio from four transmitters is independently recorded and output. This mode is suitable for multi-person recording scenarios requiring post-production track separation, such as multi-person interviews, roundtable discussions, and talk shows.

· M (Safety Track): Similar to the Mono Mode, this mode works the same way, but its right channel gain is 6dB lower than the left channel gain, serving as a backup track to prevent clipping. This mode is suitable for high-security recording scenarios such as concerts, live speeches, and business interviews.
