Before shooting, you can adjust the aspect ratio in the camera. This not only allows your creative content to achieve a better visual quality but also easily adapts to different sharing needs, such as on social media platforms. Below is a guide on how to switch aspect ratios and answers to FAQ.

How to switch the aspect ratio

Turn on the camera and tap the "Shooting Specifications" icon in the center of the screen to switch the aspect ratio before shooting.

Available aspect ratios by shooting mode:

How to shoot in 9:16 / Portrait mode

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Quick Menu" and find the Landscape/Portrait setting in the bottom left corner. You can choose from the following options as needed:

Option	Icon	Description
Shoot in Adaptive Portrait/Landscape		In the "Video" and "PureVideo" Modes, rotate the screen to the portrait orientation to automatically switch to the portrait mode. In any shooting mode, hold the camera horizontally to capture lossless portrait images.
Shoot in Portrait		In the "Video" and "PureVideo" Modes, regardless of screen orientation, the camera will shoot in the portrait mode.
Shoot in Landscape		In any mode, hold the camera horizontally to capture lossless portrait images.

Please note: When "Shoot in Portrait" is enabled in the camera settings, a maximum resolution of 3K is supported. To shoot 4K portrait videos, we recommend setting the aspect ratio to 16:9 and holding the camera horizontally.

1. Can I switch between landscape and portrait modes while recording?

No. Please determine the video aspect ratio before shooting.

2. Do Luna Series cameras support shooting 9:16 or 3:4 photos when held vertically?

• Luna Pro: Supported.
• Luna Ultra: Not supported currently. We recommend staying tuned for official updates. In the meantime, you can shoot in 16:9 or 4:3 and hold the camera horizontally to capture 9:16 or 3:4 portrait photos. 3. Do Luna Series cameras support shooting 4K@30fps portrait videos?

• Luna Pro: Supported.
• Luna Ultra: Not supported currently. Luna Ultra supports a maximum of 3K resolution for portrait shooting (cropped from landscape image) and does not yet support 4K@30fps portrait shooting. We recommend you stay tuned for future official updates. In the meantime, you can hold the camera horizontally to shoot video and capture 4K portrait video.
