If you wish to achieve more cinematic media by color grading during post-production, it is recommended to enable the I-Log Mode for shooting. Swipe left from the right edge of the camera screen, tap "Pro" > "Color Mode", and select "I-Log".

1. What bit depth does the I-Log Mode support?

The camera supports 10-bit I-Log with 14 stops of dynamic range, preserving the most complete information of highlights, shadows, and colors and providing ample room for color grading in post-production.

2. Which shooting modes support the I-Log Mode?

I-Log can only be enabled in video modes, and the following features cannot be used with I-Log:

  • Adjust (Color Grading)
  • Beautify
  • Dolby Vision
  • PureVideo

3. Are there Color Space Transform options for the I-Log Mode of Insta360 Luna Ultra in DaVinci Resolve?

Yes. The 10-bit I-Log Mode of Insta360 Luna Ultra is natively compatible with DaVinci Resolve. In the Color Space Transform node, the Input Gamma section includes an "Insta I-Log" option. In addition, you can directly select the Insta360 LUT in DaVinci Resolve for color restoration, without needing to manually download it from Insta360 website and import it.
