Luna Series is compatible with Insta360 Mic Series wireless microphones and supports practical features such as independent gain adjustment and dual-track audio sync, covering diverse audio capture needs and ensuring clear, stable, and efficient audio recording.
How to connect Insta360 Mic Series microphones
- Make sure your Insta360 Mic Series microphone is in the Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Quick Menu", find "Wireless Mic", and tap to connect.
- In the list of detected devices, select the Insta360 wireless microphone you want to connect.

1. Which Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth microphones are compatible with Luna Series?
Luna Series supports Bluetooth connection to Insta360 Mic Air and Mic Pro. It currently does not support connection to third-party Bluetooth headphones or microphones.
2. Does the camera support connection to external third‑party microphones via a USB cable or a receiver?
The camera supports connection to external microphones via the Type‑C port using a USB cable or via a receiver. There are no specific restrictions for compatible microphone models. We recommend testing with your own devices based on your usage scenarios.
3. Can the volume be adjusted when an external Bluetooth audio device is connected to the camera?
Yes. You can turn on the camera, go to "Audio settings" > tap "Sound Effect Settings" > "Gain", and adjust the external microphone gain as needed.
4. Does the camera support simultaneous audio recording (dual-track audio recording) with its built-in microphone and Bluetooth devices?
Yes. You can turn on the camera, go to "Audio settings", and enable "Built-in Audio Sync" to achieve dual-track audio recording.
Please note: After enabling "Built-in Audio Sync", the camera's built-in microphone will generate a separate backup audio file (backup.wav) alongside the video file (.mp4), and automatic mixing is not supported currently, for example: VID_20260521_180254_024_backup.wav and VID_20260521_180254_024.mp4.
5. If the camera has been connected to a Bluetooth device before, will it automatically reconnect to the Bluetooth device after being powered off and back on again?
Yes. You do not need to pair again; the camera will automatically reconnect to the paired device when powered on.
6. Does the camera support 1-to-2 connections with Insta360 Mic Air or Mic Pro?
Yes.
- Insta360 Mic Pro: You can connect your camera to Mic Pro via direct Bluetooth connection or a receiver. The direct Bluetooth connection method supports 1‑to‑2 connections (one receiver with two transmitters), while the receiver connection method supports up to 1‑to‑4 connections (one receiver with four transmitters).
- Insta360 Mic Air: You can connect your camera to Mic Air via direct Bluetooth connection or a receiver; both methods support 1-to-2 connections.
Please note: Insta360 Mic Air and Mic Pro microphones cannot be mixed or connected simultaneously.
7. Can audio capture with the camera's built-in microphones be set when the Detachable Touchscreen Remote is detached from the main unit?
Yes, with the Detachable Touchscreen Remote detached, you can go to "Audio settings" > find "Current audio input device" and select "Detachable Touchscreen Remote Microphone" or "Built-in microphone" for audio capture.
8. After an external microphone is connected, can the Detachable Touchscreen Remote be used for audio capture independently?
To ensure stable audio capture and avoid signal resource conflicts, independent audio capture via the Detachable Touchscreen Remote is not supported when an external microphone is connected, whether via Bluetooth or Type‑C wired connection.
9. When using the camera with the Battery Handle or the 1/4" Thread Handle, can I use the Type‑C ports on these accessories to connect a microphone receiver?
The Type‑C ports on both accessories support connecting a microphone receiver.
