1. What is the charging speed of the Battery Handle when charging the main unit?

When the Battery Handle is fully charged, it can charge the main unit from 0% to 44% in 30 minutes.

2. Can the Battery Handle charge a mobile phone? What is the charging speed?

Yes, the Battery Handle supports charging a mobile phone. Using an iPhone 16 as an example, with the Battery Handle fully charged, it can charge the phone at a constant power of 5V/1.5A for 57 minutes, increasing the battery level from 6% to 50%.

3. How much extra battery life does the camera gain when used with the Battery Handle?

In the Video Mode at 4K@30fps, the Battery Handle can provide an additional 1 hour of recording time.

4. Can the camera be used with third‑party battery handles?

Due to potential specification mismatches, voltage instability, or communication protocol differences with third‑party battery handles, we do not recommend using them directly with the camera. To ensure optimal performance and user experience, we recommend using the Insta360 Battery Handle.

5. Does the USB‑C port on the Battery Handle support data transfer?

Yes.

6. Why does the indicator light on the main unit turn on when charging via the Battery Handle's USB‑C port, but the indicator light on the Battery Handle does not?

When you charge via the Battery Handle's USB‑C port, charging the camera is prioritized. Only after the camera is fully charged will the Battery Handle begin charging, at which point its indicator light will turn on.

7. How do I check the serial number (SN) of the Battery Handle?

Scan the QR code on the label at the bottom of the Battery Handle to check its serial number (SN). The exact location is shown in the figure below.

8. How long does it take to charge the Battery Handle separately?

Connect the Battery Handle's USB‑C port to a power adapter using a USB‑C cable, then plug the adapter into an AC power source (100‑240V, 50/60Hz). It takes about 40 minutes to fully charge the Battery Handle.

9. Does the Battery Handle use the PD or QC charging protocol?

The Battery Handle supports the PD protocol.
