Configuring the Camera in Streaming Software

General Setup Steps:

  1. Open your live streaming software (e.g., OBS, StreamLabs, etc.).

  2. Add a video source and select [Camera] or [Video Capture Device].

  3. Key Selections:

    • If you only need basic tracking and video, select "Insta360 Link 2C/2 Pro" (or the corresponding model). Then choose the appropriate resolution based on your streaming canvas (Landscape/Portrait).

For platforms like TikTok and Zoom, it is recommended to set the resolution as follows (Landscape / Portrait): 1920x1080 or 3840x2160 / 1080x1920 or 2160x3840.

    • To use advanced features like Beautify or Virtual Backgrounds, select "Insta360 Virtual Camera." Additionally, when using Beautify features, please ensure you are connected to the internet and set the resolution to 1080p.

Important Notes:

  • Stream Occupancy Rule (Windows): The video stream from a single physical camera cannot be accessed by multiple software applications simultaneously. Before opening your streaming software, please close any other applications that might be using the camera (such as video conferencing apps).

  • Ensure the Client is Running: When using the "Insta360 Virtual Camera," the Insta360 Link Controller client must remain running in the background at all times.
