Link Series: Auto Framing

Link Series: Auto Framing

Applicable Models: Link 2C and Link 2C Pro

During live streaming, video meeting, or shooting, if you want the subject to always remain centered in the frame automatically, the Auto Framing feature can meet this need. Please refer to the following instructions to enable this mode.

What is Auto Framing?

When a subject moves, the camera can automatically lock onto the subject in the frame. When the number of subjects in the frame increases or decreases, the camera automatically adjusts the zoom level to optimize the framing, ensuring the subjects remain centered.

How to enable Auto Framing

Method 1: Via Insta360 Link Controller
  1. Open Insta360 Link Controller (ensure the client is correctly installed and connected to your camera).
  2. In the control bar at the bottom of the client interface, find "Auto Framing".
  3. Select to turn the feature on or off.

Method 2: Via gesture control (the client is not required)
  1. Ensure the camera is powered on, and a face is within the camera's frame.
  2. Face the camera and make a palm gesture (as shown below).
  3. A flashing green light indicates successful recognition. Choose to access or turn off the feature.

*During gesture recognition, ensure your hand does not block your face, as this may cause recognition to fail.

FAQ

Do all models in the Link series support Auto Framing?

Currently, only Link 2C and Link 2C Pro support this feature. Although Link, Link 2, and Link 2 Pro do not have this feature, enabling the "Smart Composition" Mode in AI Tracking can achieve a similar effect and meet the same scenario requirements.
